Kilbury Bird Sanctuary
Pangot and Kilbury Bird Sanctuary are in a forest reserve that is home to over 500 species of birds. It is located at a distance of around 6 km from the center of Pangot and can be reached in approximately 15 minutes. Some of the most common birds that you can see include Blue-winged Minla, Brown Wood Owls, Himalayan Bulbul, Dollarbird, and Rufous Bellied Woodpecker. You may also come across a few mammals like Leopards, Ghorals, Himalayan Palm CIvets, and Sambhar. Additionally, this sanctuary offers serene trekking trails and accommodation options to enjoy an overnight stay in the forest.
